Finishing grass fed steers

I realize this isn't really a "breed board" question, but what age is best to slaughter grass finished steers?

Some are at 24 months, some at 32 months, some never finish on grass

Totally agree with that. We do ours at 16 - 18 months but we have very good pasture with plenty of clover and good cattle too

the breed make the biggest diff for sure..my beefmasters are ready at 20 mos..hang bout 700 lbs...the angus and mutts i got never make it..they just support the beefmasters my loadin up

Just depends on the breed.. but most around here go around 22-26 months.
