First day in a month that I actually thought maybe we would see spring... Temp only got to 33-- but warm sun and no wind felt like 70's to me and the new calves...

New one that came this morning- the "minority" looking one ....

Calves enjoying some bare ground. I love the little heads and calving ease builds on these Lazy Bar B Juanada Rito sired calves... When the DNA genetic profile increased his CED EPD to + 10 I think they were right....

Sure glad I had lots of straw this year- saved on hay and sure helped with this nasty calving weather..

Hey, things looking good up there in the Milk River country! Good to see more pictures. I like those little headed calves too and you have plenty of legs under them to grow in to. I wish we would get a taste of spring here in KY. I know you get some mud there (that gumbo up there with clay and bentonite could stop anything from getting around) but that is all we have in the winter. It just wears you out looking at it every day. You got the temperatures to freeze that mud most of the winter and then you are so much drier. Thanks for the pictures. Hope to run through your valley again before the race is run.

Hey. thanks for sharing those pictures! Looks like your herd wintered well up there. They are looking really good.

Thanks for sharing the photos. I really enjoyed looking at all of them. You have a nice herd, I'm really looking forward to having my first calves next spring.

Thanks guys-- Temp finally up near 50 today-- and the snow is really going... Making mud- but sure nicer than calving in that 10-20 Below weather we were much of the month....
