Fescue Prices

Looks like the price of fescue out of the field will start at about .35 wet and .33 dry to the farmer this year.

I guess Pennington is buying at .30 and .28.

How is the seed looking we have lots of heads here but seed seems pretty small compared to normal yrs

I'm in Rolla.

Seed is a little spotty around here. Lots of it got mowed down that week we were dry. Kansas and Oregon both have a pretty good crop.

Sounds like it has been a really poor year for most cutting fescue. If I were a betting man I would say we will see prices over $.40 next year for the farmer.

If your needing some seed for the fall I would buy it now as I think seed prices across the board will jump up.
