You can bet he got a pm from the mod or Macon to cool it before being ban.
Can't keep ignoring the law you might beat the wrap but you still got to take the ride.
I actually liked reading most of his post, just have to know when to quit being hammer headed.

that's not always the case CB I know several that got no warning. I was told you should have known

I would have believed that when Frankie was here.
Knowing the mods now real level headed people IMO until you keep hitting the red button.

Never knew there was a line between politics and porn. Seems to me like someone is getting screwed either way.
 
For those that missed what he posted. It was a political message that was posted to every board minus recipes. I think one board and it would have just been deleted. I hope he comes back, he had lots of good info.

The way that they can get away with that is that avatars and sig lines are private and can not be accessed except maybe by Macon as the owner of the site.

Just so that I am clear.....for example in my avatar, I can make that the emblem of the political party I like or even make one of those circles with the slash across the Democrats or Republican party sign if I wanted. Then in my signature I can put something politically charged supporting my choice or bashing another party.....Because its private..IS that correct?

I am not allowed to start a politically charged post in the forums period? IF I do so, being banned is a possible consequence.

I am asking this just because I am relatively new here. Trying get the lay of the land I guess

That appears to be the case Saltbranch.

I have never met a single person in my 65 years, that I didn't learn something positive from-- and that includes Fenceman.
He was an asset.

Thank you Greybeard atleast I am not the only one reading it that way, Hopefully Mod1 or whomever else is the PoPo around here will advise? I would like someone with the banning authority to confirm/deny/explain.
 
I don;t know. It's never been pushed. You could try it and see what the results are.
 
m-5 i will be the first to admit i have a lot to learn thats why im on this board and would like to have fenceman back and if mgravlee won`t let him back well its his site to do what he wants with im not going to try and tell him he has to but i would like him to think of all the help he has been to so many people and all the help he could be to so many more if he where allowed back. And what would be the point in banning some one if they just got a new user name?

Im sorry if im coming across as being disrespectful to the mods and admin and if you think i am please let me know thats not what im trying to do

Just been around here since the beginning. Since I'm frequently up in the middle of the night I get to see all sorts of stuff.

Actually I've been around here since before the beginning, back when you didn;t have to register to post. I sort of have a vested interest in these boards succeeding if only because of seniority. When I see stuff that I think Macon would be of interst I PM or email him. The last thing I brought up was the idea of a like button. He;s looking into it. He tends to treat me kindly because I'm an old fart and have seen the boards flourish under his management/adminstration.

If you look at the Global moderators group you can see dun mod1 mod3 and mgravlee, i like dun because he is very active on the boards and i think people would like the othere mods better if they where more like dun and had help full posts instead of just banning locking and deleting :2cents:

According to posts below, Dun is a moderator. The above statement sure seems odd to be coming from a moderator. Moderating on the fly it would appear by that statement. I do not see how political avatars and signatures are allowed, yet a political post's will get you banned.
