Fence repairs

I wanted to share a tip I've been using for a while to repair holes in the fence by myself. I've tried putting a gate up but that's hard to do in a grown up fence line and it's cumbersome to carry by yourself. Normally when I find a hole in the fence it's because I have a cow out and the last thing I want to do is fight patching a fence by myself after I get the cow back in. I've learned that a cow panel cut into 4 foot pieces makes a great fence patch. It's easy to carry by yourself and you can just zip tie it into the fence line. I keep two on the farm all the time for this purpose.

Another real quick, but maybe not as strong is to just use a small roll of snow fence. Just takes a few minutes to tie up with baling twine or zip ties. Can be removed easily enough and rolled up for later use. Works great for those late night car through fence scenarios when the permanent fix could wait until its light out.

I'm from Arkansas, and I can't help it, I have a couple of bed (cot) angle iron frames with the little springs all the way around it that I use. Light, quick and easy to wire in place. Cost is $0 ( when folks leave them behind). The also make pretty good chicken pen gates.rcp :lol2:
