Feeding question

I had a guy offer me 8 acres with a pond and a pretty good fence on it in central AL. I am considering running some spring calves on it on feed. What is the normal stocking rate on a small scale like this?

What part of central Bama? Depends on soil and grass. If you are planning on feeding as well I would say 10-12 maybe more.

Just north of Birmingham. I'm not wanting to graze them. Pretty much strictly feed, hay, and mineral. I was thinking 20 plus calves. I have access to pretty good feed supply at a discount.

That should work then as long as your not relying on grass.
