Got tired of cows pushing the feeders everywhere.
Alittle concrete seems to have fixed the problem. ;-)

Seems like that would just make it more of a challenge, and cows love a good challenge.

Before the cement I would have drove some posts in the ground, cemented them and drill some big bolts into the posts so the feeder is a couple feet off the ground to keep them out of it then it would be a pretty sturdy scratching post, hopefully the cement works out for you.
 
I'm thinking all you've done is make it harder for yourself to move the feeders. I seriously doubt the concrete is going to even phase the cows.

Wait until they step on the edge and trun the whole mess over.
We had a bull that would flip a old 100 water tank that we used as a feder over on his head and throw it around. We now use a feed bunk set up and don't waste as much feed.

That looks like a nice lil set up -- what size are the green barrels that you used? 50 gal?
