I plan on calling the salebarn tomorrow, and would like to have an idea as to how this will play out.
I'd like to market my 20 calves...9 heifers and 11 steers.
1. Do I need to sex these calves....or can I just run them down together?
2. They weigh 800-1050,....my sale barn has a "fed cattle" auction on Wed, and a "Feeder" auction on Thurs. Will I sell under fed or feeder? What happens if you take feeders to a fed cattle auction ? (Say you guesstimate them to weigh 1200 and they only wiegh 1000)
Sorry for the questions,...just my first auction. Always been somebody elses cattle up until now.
