Last year in our feedlot the avg from time came in (some right off moms/grass and some backgrounded) was 7.31lbs of feed/1lb of gain, hope that helps

I can depend on a few different factors such as
1) the TDN of the feed,
2) whether or not they're pened or pastured
3) Genetics
4) ambient temperature and other environmental factors
5) age
I've seen it range from 6 to 10
