What have you seen or been given that you really liked or used and what made you wrinkle up your nose as far as promotional items?

I have seen hats, calendars, pocket sized note pads, toothpick holders, magnets, window decals...what did you like and what is the most unusual you have seen?

As a vet, I get to see some interesting promo items from drug companies. My favourite was " buy this much and get a laptop computer" but since you had to but an incredible amount of their product, never got that one. I've gotten clocks, flashlights, vests (mmmm) ,coolers daily planners, towels (kids still use them), pictures with "Clifford the big red dog" and lots of paper products. (including textbooks)

I've gotten a lot of pens (most quite nice) but the one which stands out is a pen shaped like a bone.

One vaccine company will give you a free website with $1000 worth of vaccines...

I've gotten other stuff, but obviously it didn't stand out. The best promo material for me is something to do with the product, something useful for my job or something I need.

My prefernce is hats, I never seem to have enough of them even though my wife thinks I have too many. Now I just pitch it when it gets nasty if I have a replacemnt on hand. They get pretty ratty after being washed half a dozen times.
The one I really like too is a thermometer/clock w/date and alarm. Very handy. Get those form NeoSho farms every year. One year the sent a plastic rain gauge, yippee, I've got dozens of them sitting around that only cost a couple of bucks to buy.
Now if someone had a buy two get one free heifer sale, I'ld really get behind that deal.

Rainguages are my favorite. That and pocket calendars big enough to keep cow notes in.

Hats and gloves. Local feed mill used to leave a pair of insulated leather gloves with their name on the back when they filled the bins in December. Always nice to have a pair around.

As an Amazon Associate we earn from qualifying purchases. Product prices and availability are accurate as of the date/time indicated and are subject to change.
Being a Realtor, I've gotten cool stuff from farm and ranch lenders! My favorite being the big rain gauges (I can actually read them from the front seat of the pickup without getting out) and sort sticks. I LOVE those things! I've got one in every vehicle.

Those handy little calving record books that the local vet supply store dishes out around Christmas.

They fit perfectly in the pocket of your favorite chore coat, and enable you to keep track of who's who by jotting it down in the barnyard when you're running low on sleep.

Take care.

These are the best 4 promo items I recieved last year:

That round rubber thing that helps to get the covers off of difficult jars.( Bank )

Pens that don't freeze in the winter. ( Grain Store )

Turtle fleece to keep your neck warm--and can be worn in a variety of ways. ( Hardware store )

2 lb Fresh ground Green Mountain Coffee ( gas station giveaway for "frequent flyers " )

You must have different kinds of turtles then we do. Never have seen one with a fleece. A little with long algae that looks like hair on some of the bigger snappers but no fleece.

Haven't been in a few years, but I always appreciated the invitation to strap on the old feed bag at the end of the year free barbecue and C & W dance thrown by one of the local weekly sale barns --- there's no lunch like a free lunch!
