Horrific. And yet it doesn't surprise me. In my small community my husband is on the Watershed Board & we just happen to have the last watershed lake built around here. That will ever be built around here! Shockingly, Washington DC & a slew of environmentalists showed up in tiny little Burden, KS (where the meetings were held) and demanded a halt to any other watersheds, primarily because the possibility of endangering the habitat of some species of frog. The alternative is, of course, potential flooding for some areas but hey, as long as the frogs are protected . . . . :bang:
