there is alot of mexicans where i live so i've gotten to know them pretty well. yes there are a few rotten ones that just dont understand but there are a SH!T load of americans the same way. but there are some nice ones who follow the law and speak english and are just like any other "white" person. sense when does color/race matter? if his parentals pay taxes and their legal i think he has the same right as any other person to raise cattle however he wants to.

PS: Nobody in Oklahoma really cares how much your 35 acres are worth; but if they really are all that, then I recomend you do exaclty what you said, sell it and come buy some land in Oklahoma. Dont know if he knows this or not but it happened to a friend of mine. After 911 they made using racial slurs a hate crime. This guy I know got mad at this gas station clerk that was hispanic and called him a wetback. The guy called the cops on him and the cops took him to jail for committing a hate crime. The judge did not go easy on him either. Sentenced him to the max which I think was 30 days. He also got fined a huge amount of dollars I cant remember how much.

Using racial slurs sure doesnt meet the definitions of a hate crime by the federal standard. I dont know what statute Ten might have passed, but here in Oklahom we still belive in freedom of speech regardless of how ignorant or stupid your speech may make you look.

Now with that said. If he commited another crime and made a racial slur while doing it; it may meet the federal standard for a hate crime, but racial slurs in themsleves do not.

That goes along with what I previously said. Its not really different from other civil right statues. To commit a hate crime, a crime is still needed, evidence of hate in itself is not enough.
