False Heat???

I have a heifer that was AI bred and aborted last year around 7 months pregnant. I held her til this year because she is of good genetics and figured I would give her another chance. She was bred about 2 months ago, confirmed by blood test, yet today when feeding I noticed that she is acting like she is in heat. She is jumping some of the other cows, and others are jumping her and without any doubt she is standing. I never saw any signs that she aborted again......so I guess my question is it possible that she go in heat or false heat and still be bred? I know there are other animals that can do this and was curious if it is possible with her. I have others that are due for blood test within the next week so I will test her also, again. Just looking for any help as to what is going on with her.

I would go with another blood test, or better yet have her palpated. If she slipped the calf before around 55 days you wouldn;t see anything anyway since the embryo isn;t even implanted yet at that point.

Every once in a great while pregnant cows will ride like they're hot but it's almost always later in the pregnancy and when it's early it's almost always followed by her slipping the calf.
Given her history, I'd ship her and go over my management practices with a fine tooth comb to make sure everyone was vaccinated and fed properly to avoid problems with the rest of the herd.

If she has kicked another one she will be down the road for sure. But I figured it was worth a $2 dollar blood test since she is not of that bad genetics herself and is/was AI bred. Just wanted to see if it was possible that she was still pregnant. Thanks!
