if we get some moisture in the ground, i would like to overseed some orchard grass into the hay fields and some wheat or rye into my pastureland. is late september and early october be a good time to plant these grasses?
Here in WV, were doing it now through the end of september, the ground is nothing but, dust right now, but, usually what happens is that it'll get very wet, very quick so were planting a few new fields this week and then we'll come back to the pastures and no till OG/Timothy in them next week and hope for some rain. It just depends on what part of this great country your in, some that may be closer to you will have a better idea of when you should overseed your pastures.
