This morning changing the irrigation it was noticeable that fall is nearly here. It was 42 this morning and supposed to be 39 tomorrow. Not cold but it sure has been a quick change. Last week it was 60 degrees at sunrise and over 90 in the heat of the day. I prefer it but it does take a day or 2 to get use to it. The water is pretty warm. But then get on the quad and zoom to the next site with wet hands. The temperature change is sure noticeable.

Fall came 3 weeks ago with our first couple frosts and days in the 40s. Let wood stove go out yesterday because of a brief warm spell, buy will be back to wood heat by the weekend.

That is what we have had the past week or so. 60's in the mornings, and only getting to high 80's maybe 90 if we are lucky. and it is dark before 9 now. I don't like fall, because it is the prelude to winter. 42 and 39.... I ain't gonna get out unless I have to.

It was about 38 this morning when I got up. I had planned on raking some hay this morning, but I decided it was to wet to rake. I guess I will wait a few hours and then see if I can get it done. I hate making hay this time of year.

60 sounds okay. I'll stay in the house if it's 90, thank you very much.
I hate 90's and 100's. I stay in the house. Not fond of 80's. 60's and 70's are about right. My problem right now is I am use to changing the irrigation at the crack of dawn to avoid the heat. Right now at 6:30 the sun hasn't peaked over the ridge. But out of force of habit I go out to do the irrigation. Flood irrigation you always get wet hands. Oh well irrigation is about done for the year.

What is the cotton doing over there?
My opening yet . My cousins have about 500 acres , it seems shorter this year . Good looking plants and look like a lot of bolls despite the size
