Just like everyone else in my area we have a lot of extra hay. We usually sell some but I'm afraid this year itll be hard to move as many as we have extra. Thinking of buying old bred cows at the sale barn to feed thru winter, calves them out and sell both at weaning. I'm sure this has been done before, any different ideas or suggestions.
Thanks

Sounds good to me. Don't know about the quality of the hay and how much would need to be spent on supplemental protein.

Or
Put that hay back till spring to give some beat up pasture a chance to recover, or establish improved grass on a pasture...
the problem with that is I could of bailed my pature. I'm under stocked bc in the next year I'm gonna loose a lease farm so I havent been expanding like I was planning at 1st. And I'm still fencing off a new farm. So I've been bailing it till I can get it finished
