Federal Ag. minister Chuck Strall announced in parliment that Egypt is dropping the ban on live runinamts. So live canadian breeding stock will be allow to be exported to Egypt.
The first shipment of live cattle to Barbados has happened a shipment of Holstien bred heifers to bolster milk production on an island dairy. More are expected.
It is great to see that more countries pulling canada off the banned list. The list is growing constantly. It truely shows the confidence that other countries have in the canadian testing,survailence and feed monitoring systems.
Although there are opponents, the vast majority of them have an adgenda when it comes to canadian cattle.
