Experience with this cross?

Has anyone ever owned any Gerts and crossed with a black Brangus ?

We only have about 7 Gert cows left in our heard and are going to put Brangus Bulls in the pasture in a few months. Just curious as to what the calves may be like. I would think they would make awesome replacement heifers.

Thoughts ?

Ain't so much as to much ear, as the temperament on that cross,, more likely then not you have a cow that will check your back pockets regularly..

Never seen that cross that I can recall.
I am with Alacowman on I bet that could get to be a high headed bunch quick if you handle them wrong.
Calves be like F-1 tiger calves I would imagine be like trying to pen turkeys.

So are Herefords and Brahmans.

Unless those Gerts have the African horn gene in the woodpile.
Lot of Brimmers and there composites carry it .
