Little man on the bottom of the stick is being let go. My brother works at a Natural Bakery Factory, he got notified yesterday he is being let go, they say until January, but he thinks it is permanent. I guess the price of wheat, flour has finally caught up to even this place.

Greed is really an interesting ailment. The little guys get laid off, while the bigwigs continue with their big salaries AND bonuses. Kind of makes you wonder who they think it is that's doing all the grunt work, and getting their product to market.

I plant trees during the winter months and have always had trouble finding help as this type work is beneath most americans as it is long hard days in poor conditions - rain or shine. This year I have had 5 people wanting to help me. I've never had ANYONE EVER ask me this before. Never. This is definitely a sign that things are bad.

One thing for sure, if the "bigwigs" don't make money, their won't be any to share with the "little people".
You're so right 1982vett. Very few companies are employee owned. While I do believe in fair treatment and fair wages I don't have a problem with the rich getting richer, they do after all take the chances while I just show up for work daily and do my job the best of my ability. We need each other but I need them more.

your right if they not making enough they cut jobs to raise profits.an thats sad to see people layed off.
