This may go nowhere, but I wondered if people wanted to share the most epic threads they have seen since they've been here.

Mine occured during my hiatus, it was the chicken poop thread.

I missed that one as well. I've looked for it, but can't find it.
There was a small chicken-poo thread, many years ago, but that's not the one you talk of. Maybe I can't find it becuase it was deleted??

There have been a few "epic" threads in the years that I've been here. :lol2: I've missed a few but caught up on the reading of a couple of them.

The most recent ones in my memory were the ones having to do with/started by/continued by CG8.

When I first arrived, there was an active thread, I think the title was "Do you have any questions about Tennessee?" It was dozens, if not hundreds of pages, and confirmed all the suspicions of residents from neighboring states. The legendary Mr. Crowder hosted, as I recall. The whole thing seems to have been lost to a software upgrade (or a standards upgrade, not sure).

I'm with Alan, Idaman. I've read it front to back twice already. And I'm still amazed, shame he didn't get a chance to write a book.

Thank you.

I think the Idaman thread is one of the best ones. I sure would like to have met that man. Another guy who had some fabulous stories was the fellow who raised "florida cracker cattle".

Anyone that has not read this, I highly recommend it!! 31 pages but a great read in a easy chair with a cup of coffe or tea. Quite a, the, cattleman from the fifties and sixties. I have read it twice and will do it for a third time, hoping that his family has left up the converted videos from the early days and the old photos so we can all still enjoy! Quite a man with lots of history. If I remember correctly, he died of a stroke a few years back while visiting the coast.

It is also found as the " sticky" on the "breeds" board, one of two stickies on that board.

Australian talk

There was a big one with NC Liz that I can't remember the title of.. I did participate energetically in that one

Anything involving massey would get pretty interesting. Especially if TB was drinking that night. Even chippie was on the attack with him around and that's just not something that we can expect to see very often. ;-)

From what I recall, chippie was justified.

Loved her! She was fun! Well she was fun because she got so many twisted up in a fit.

Can't remember her name, but sister was fun also!
