I don't see where Social security and Medicare are entitlement programs. Welfare, Medicaid and food stamps are, IMO.

SS and Medicare trust funds along with other pension trust funds own most of the national debt through Treasury bonds held by them. If the government had been run with taxes for all current operations then there would not have been any need to burrow from the trust funds. The bonds are now due and the government wants to stiff us by not paying the bonds and interest. Interest on the bonds are bringing in as much as SS contributions as means to fund the pensions. The military is the biggest waste of money out there they build a fleet of airplanes and then want some newer ones and send the old fleet that is still serviceable to the storage in the desert in Arizona. Government contracts for weapons is one was or elected officials can direct aid to their constituents.

You need a strong military to scare people since we can't just kill them as needed. The illegal immigrants have figured out how we deal and called our bluff.

Backhoe, SS hasn't spent the money, the politicians stole from SS to give to the freeloaders.

I feel entitled to all the money I paid in.

I'd settle for just the capital gains I paid for 2015 !!! Nothing like being punished for being successful. They should atleast send you a tube of KY

We agree when I started paying it was pay to play. If the government wants to cut me a check for what I and the company paid in we can part company.
I have to live to 88 to break even.
Eisenhower opened the SS box to bail out the Post office.
LBJ ripped the lid off to pay for his enslavement machine known as the Great Society.

a ton of poor lazy people get SS..

almost EVERYONE of their kids get it. Each kid get around 500-600/month... so some parents are really raking it in.

most people thinks it only goes to the older people.. but that is far from the truth.

dont' forget the housing programs they have going on..

here.. a 4 bedroom house they will pay up to 2200 per month.. .. nice being 'poor' huh?

they also get almost free electric.. i think they cap the bills to 30 bucks for them... you go into the house and they have the windows and doors wide open and the heat set at 85. every.. single.. person.

they give so much food to these people.. on TOP of the food stamp visas they get.. I know if you have 2 kids you get around 1100 in a food visa card. they go to the pantries and get a massive amount of food and they just turn around and sell it.

and you have all these people saying.. 'oh those poor people'.. some of these are living better then the ones donating the food.
