Last week A friend of mine from childhood came out and spent 5 days here. How we finally got together is too long of a story, but we hadn;t seen each other since august of 1960. We had been talking on the phone for a year or so and had planned to get together before this but it just never worked out. Turns out he and I are so much alike , just as when we were kids. His outdoor interests center around bikes and mine around hunting and fishing. But basically that's the only major differences. Got some shooting done, spent a lot of time just talking and catching back up. It's funny that when my brother an I got together several years ago after not seeing each other for 25 years, by the time we were half way through dinner we were pretty much done. Really enjoyed the time, hope to make it a more frequent event. Don;t think ether of us have another 56 years left to us.

I know that was good. A few years ago my old gang got together for a camping and fishing trip in the mountains. It was great to catch up and relive some of the things of our youth around the campfire. Good times.

A lady I barely knew got a hold of me last week. She and my sister were good friends back in Jr High. She had been planning on getting with my sister to catch up on their childhood friendship. My sister, who passed away in June, had not been responding to her.

So Dun it is good you do these type of things and don't put them off any longer than you have to. You never know if you'll get the chance later.

5 days is a long visit. Doesn't make up for 56 years but it is a good reckoning period.
