After over 60 years of Border Collies on our farm, I was almost disowned by my father for getting an English Shepherd this summer. But he's come around to the fact that she's a great farm dog. At less than 4 months she was already trying to herd cattle and is more than willing to jump right in and help whether it be in the pasture or enclosed area of the barn/pen. She actually was real upset with me on the last load of feeders that I loaded and she didn't get a chance to help. I thought it was too enclosed of an area with 18 head and no good escape route for a pup (she's still only 6 months). She's a great family dog with my 8 year old daughter and as long as it's with my, she is happy doing anything!
