I really thought we'd seen the last of that white crap...

The worst part is that it was 80F yesterday, and it looked like the grass was finally going to come on fast and hard.

Meow! Meow! :D

Hey Rod - we got more than you did - but it is all gone now.

Hillsdown - It can snow in any month of the year up this way.

Its still coming down :( Forecast was for 1 - 3 mils, but we've got an inch and half on the ground right now. Worst part is that its supposed to freeze hard tonight now. <chuckle> Was looking forward to parking the loader tractor for a few months, but the grass don't grow so good at minus temps.

Hillsdown, I hear you about the crops. My father is already well behind with the excess moisture in the fields, and its not looking good for another couple weeks now. Guess I'll have lots of greenfeed to bale up this year :)

Not trying to hijack the thread but I was wondering about the extreme shift in temperatures. From the 80's to snowing and all. When this happens, do you have any problem with windshields cracking on your vehicles or anything like that?

Naw, not really. It was only a 45 degree drop over almost 12 - 14 hours. Maybe if a windshield was cracked already it may have spread a bit more, but I doubt it.

Knersie,

  Its amazing how acclimated a guy gets. It felt colder than hell yesterday, yet if we'd gotten temps like that in the middle of Jan or Feb, we would be using the BBQ .
