One may produce great feed efficient calves for the feed lot but one must also calculate the costs in getting it there.Costs a lot to feed 1500 Lb. cow. There must be a balance point somewhere. I wish the rest of the breed assoc. would follow the lead of the red angus.

You should go to their website and browse around at some of the stuff they have posted. I wish they had an EPD for tenderness (shear force) like Simmenthal, but other then that I think they've got it all in one sock as a breed association
