Yes but they are going to allow import of fresh beef. Can be transmitted by AI with frozen semen.

When is our government going to do something to help us? It seems like all the government wants to do is make it harder for us to compete.
Our government has done nothing for years to help farmers and producers here. They are too busy helping the rest of the world and the non working people that they can give government assistance to here and encourage not to work. That is one of the main reasons this country is falling apart today.

This is all because some businessman wanted to sell some of his goods to South America. South America said "ok, but we want to sell beef in America.
So that businessman had his lobbyist donate more money than the beef producers lobbyist. A congressman that was getting the money probably used the farm bill to buy somebody off on the U.S. Beef side of the argument.

Today it's about putting together least cost rations for the masses while providing better graphics to play
angry birds and candy crush on cell phones to keep the public from rocking the boat.
It just feels like, and i dont know if its purposeful or just natural digression, there is a force pulling this country downward so that this nation is not the pinnacle, but just another mediocre member of the UN. Maybe its our elected officials selling us out, maybe its the absurd restrictions we have allowed to be placed upon us from an environmental, economic and agricultural perspective. Maybe its our infatuation with technology and lack of concern for the family unit. Maybe its a combination. Im always disturbed when i reflect on the fact that there is only one major steel manufacturer that is american owned left in our country.

Cattlemen need to demand that the packing and cutting houses put labels on the beef raised in this country. Then we need to demand that our check off dollars go to commercials and billboards stating to buy American raised beef. American made stuff is better and worth paying a little extra for. I paid $5.00 more for an American can opener years ago, and it's still working.

WASHINGTON, July 8, 2015 - House appropriators have agreed to block imports of fresh beef from regions of Brazil and Argentina until the Agriculture Department does further study on the potential risk from foot and mouth disease.
