Eastern Kentucky Simangus

I am in need of a bull and I am looking for reputable registered angus producers in or around eastern Kentucky. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I raise Simangus cattle. One of the best Simangus operations in North America is here in Mason County. Their operation is near Tollesboro, KY.

But you are looking for an angus bull. There are several around Mt. Sterling, Winchester and Lexington which are near you.

I can recommend two:
Boyd Beef Cattle, Mays Lick or Mayslick even the Post Office don't know which it is. They have several bulls that make the semen sales. I know Charlie Boyd and have looked at bulls with him in the pasture. Outstanding pedigrees but expect to pay for what you get. You cannot do better. March 8, 2014. Myers Angus Farm will be selling at the same sale.

Stone Gate Farms, Flemingsburg.
On March 3, 2014. 60 bulls. Probably not going to sell as high as the Boyd bulls but I know people who have the Stone Gate Farm bulls and are very happy with the bulls and how they were treated.

Go to the American Angus Association. Check their sales. Kentucky has several bulls sales coming up.
