Those of you keeping the dinks - Did you give them an extra year to grow out before breeding them?

Yup, I know it's not ideal practice for most folks but I have some time and patience with growing them out.

No. Had her pelvic measured at 11 months, bred her to a CED +15 bull at 15 months. We had another 40 lb preemie in 2014 (she's the one on my lap in the pic). She was a couple months older than the Spring heifers but made the cut when she was measured at 13 months, bred at 17 months. She's due 4/6.
