Just a note, Corbitt Wall did his daily Feeder Flash; and mentioned that our own Brandon Reeves, with Va Cattle ... VCBA... wrote a letter about having the "dormant" cow/calf council reactivated in order to give the cow/calf producers more say in some of the rules/pricing etc... He has been a big advocate for the smaller cow/calf producer here in Va and was a big push for farmers to look into and participate in LRP....
I thought it a tribute to a smaller "cattle guy".... and a good thing for cattle producers in general...

He also mentioned the bred cow sale that is up @Dave 's direction in LeGrande....

I was at La Grande on Thursday. Solid mouth cows bred 6-7 months sold real well at $3,700-$3,800. They had more bred heifers than normal. The close up ones brought $3,900. The later calving ones backed off to $3,400. Old cows and short breds were generally $2,900. Mainly larger group with information about the bulls (breed and source of the bulls).
