Have excavator with a Duetz motor in it. It has a fuel leak on top of one of the injector pumps. ( not sure why you would have a main pump then 4 individual injector pumps). Anybody familiar with this set up? Is it as simple as an o-ring or replace the whole part? Fuel leaks out at top where lines connect best I can tell. Thanks for any help you can share IMG_1877.jpeg

Looks like it's leaking at the nut which secures the steel line to the injector. I'd tighten it a bit with a wrench first and if that doesn't help, then take it loose and see what it uses for sealing purposes.

Also looks like something has laid against the return lines and rubbed them a bit. Unrelated?

Little leaks here and there I have used this and every time it stops the leak it seems. Had a fuel leak at the bottom of a tractor tank and dabbing a little (lite film) of this on the fittings and retighten and no more leaks. It is a gas, heat, vibration and oil-resistant sealer that I have use several tubes through the years sealing 2 cycles up wherever needed and on stubborn leaks on equipment. Clean the joints good apply and you will have no leak. It dry's fast and use carb cleaner to clean the surfaces, and it dries in seconds.

May have to give this a try. Bobcat is completely useless for parts as a whole and doesn’t carry anything to fix it. Everything discontinued. This motor is a ton of their excavators and skid steers from mid 2000s. Diesel shop says they can’t get parts either but bring the fitting by and they will at least try and match up an O ring. Right now I have a 17,000# paperweight because of a $1 Oring.

I have said it before and will again talk all the bad you want about CAT an John Deere but they can fix their stuff and get you parts. This will make 2 Bobcat machines I have owned, my first and last. I will happily pay for that high priced paint. It is nice equipment and you can make it run.

Put an aftermarket steering cylinder on a Ford tractor today as AM is all you can get and the one on it is past fixing. I cleaned the line hookups as the AM hookups to the cylinder didn't seem too great and put some Yamabond on the connections. Ran the tractor a couple hours and no leaks and no need to try and tighten to an inch of breaking to get a leak stopped like I would have to do without the Yamabond sealer.
