I have an angus heifer that’s over her due date.
How long past the due date before I need to be concerned?

I don't get real concerned as long as the cow isn't in labor. But the further past due date the bigger the calf may be.

What was her breeding date?
When was she preg checked?
What would you like to be concerned about?
7 days over you should be concerned she'll need assistance.
21 days over her due date... then you should be concerned about your record keeping.
42 days over her due date, that she isn't bred and either aborted or never was pg.

She was AI breed, pregnancy checked and no bull exposure.

She was only due 2 days ago. She definitely shows signs of calving.

Rule of thumb is +/- 2 weeks as stated. And more often a bull if over due date in the dairy industry... seems the heifer calves often come a bit early or on time, but not always.

Due only two days ago isn't really overdue. Two days is the difference between a heifer and a bull.
Depends what gestation period you use.

Also depends on the breed. Most beef breeds' due dates are based on 283 days, Simmental are 285 days normal.

We had a heifer born this Sunday at 291st day, and heifer is calving now - 293rd day...
