I may have to start working up calves without Hubby.
And I'm not ready to hire help.

I can do everything except pull the nuts- Hands aren't big enough( my 9 yr old daughters are longer :( ) and I don't have the strength to do very many at a time.

I don't like banding the big boys-

I have heard of a drill that twists the nuts off.
anyone know anything about it????

It's a forked kind of deal that goes over the cord just above the nut. Hit the trigger on the drill and it winds the cord around the fork and pulls it out. When I saw it done it made me cross my legs and I got a little weak kneed. May even moaned a little

dun

Yes, that's what our vet uses...first time I watched, I asked if Makita was aware of how she was using their drills.

A young vet fresh out of school came to the feedlot and used one I was shocked at first but our old vet was along with him and assured me if there are any complications he would make it right. He never needed to everything turned out fine. In fact I never saw any swelling in the steers done that way. A bit more time consuming but it was done for free so I didn't care. This is the tool he used.

THANKS--- I went to your link and thats exactly the info I needed(unless they are lying).
I hadn't found anyone that had used it on big calves.
