Doris Day

I heard on the radio that she was so good she even convinced the public that Rock Hudson was straight. She was also offered the starring role in "The Graduate" with Dustin Hoffman, she turned it down because she did not want to tarnish her wholesome on-screen image. May she rest in peace.

Oh my. Everyone my age knew that name.

I was beginning to think she was immortal.

Reminds me of all those scenes in "Big Jake" where everyone tells John Wayne they thought he was dead. I had forgotten that she was still alive.

Did you know that Kirk Douglas is still alive?

Born December 9, 1916. 102 years old.

Norman Lloyd is 103 and still acting........that is a long time for parts to hold together...usually what separates the real old from the average age mortality is the real old has lots of health problems, but one big thing has not taken them out yet.......heart, cancer etc.......

I didn't know who Norman Lloyd is. But seeing the list, I saw Hal Holbrook there. His now deceased wife, Dixie Carter was a graduate of the University of Tennessee. A lawyer in my area used to be buddies (maybe more) with her in school. He has a tendency to drink and he would get drunk and call Dixie late at night. One night, finally, Hal got on the phone with him and told him to quit calling his d**m wife!!

Harry Morgan lived to be 96 I think. Interesting, at the age of 80 something he beat the crap out of his wife. Was charged and they dropped the charges in a bargain that required him to participate in abuse classes. It was totally out of character. Some strange things happen to the mind late in life.

Julie Gibson hit 105. That is a lot of trips around the sun.....makes me tired thinking about it....
