Door contest at school. Need help

Homecoming already! I need some ideas. OUr school has a door decorating contest. Now, the team we are playing are the "Steers". We need an idea door. We are Bulldogs. I think that usual, "Brand the Steers" thing will be done. We have two doors, we are thinking of a drive-through restaurant theme with pick up and delivery. It has to be catchy and clean.

Quick! I know all those pithy minds out there will churn up something good!

Northside? That's the stockyard area. :shock: Of all things to name their football team the Steers. I guess you could rope , them or bulldog them. And, I guess, if your doing the restaurant theme, you could put calf fries/mountain oysters on the menu.

Graham also. It has been the joke for many years. Don't know why anyone would pick that.

put a poster up with all the different cuts of beef and put a player next to each one. have bull dogs eating steak. instead of branding the steers... why not "band" them lol

You can "Rope The Steers"

You can have a "Recipe For Victory - Steerburgers"

You can "Hogtie The Steers" or "Bulldog The Steers"

Or you can have a Bulldog Teacher standing at a blackboard with "Steers Make The Best Dog Food" written on it.

Since there are two doors to that classroom, one we made as a processing entrance and one as a pick-up window with menu, steer burgers, steer steaks, steer fries... I would like to do the mountain oyster thing but half the school would get it and the other half would get offended. That;s been the problem. There's a world of possibilities and most of them aren't acceptable.

I will try to take pics of the finished products.

And my favorite, "Steer, it's whats for dinner" was taken!

Not to get off track, but there is a small school about 15 miles north of here whose sports teams are called the Bunnies. I've never heard a reasonable explanation how they came up with that one.

Umm. The fighting Bunnies. Let me see, there's the Hutto Hippos, the Grandview Zebras, The Fighting Farmers from, Mesquite? Farmer's Branch? And the beloved Itasca Wampus Cats. I went to college with a transfer student from up north some place and he said his former college mascot were the Blue Zips.

Then there's my alma mater, University of Texas at Arlington. We were the Mavericks, then we became the Movin' Mavs, cause the Mavericks basketball team store our mascot. Didn't matter. Our teams all sucked.

My high school was the Granbury Pirates. We are nowhere near the ocean, so go fig.
