how can i get rid of em? mowin em when theyre low will keep em down but they wont go away. theyre hard to keep from speading

Mowing will not kill most weeds unless you cut it below the bottom leaves, which is dang near impossible.

Dog fennel are very easy to kill with 2-4-D. Usually all it takes is one application.

Cutting them in late summer offers some control because they can't build up reserves before winter and they die. But, Mike is dead on. Spraying is the best method.

Spray atrazine in March or April. Check to be sure it is ok on your grass.
