Does this sound right ?

Took two steers to butcher. Live weight was 2940 lbs.
Hanging weight is 1,656.
Does that seem right? seems like a lot of loss,then will have more when it is cut up.
New to all this but they put on 2.93 lbs per day,so from reading on here seems we did that right at least.

My math shows that to be 56%- I'd say that is pretty good. I think some show quality steers will dress in the low 60's but I'd be very pleased with your numbers.
