Distillers Syrup

I've been feeding thin slop. Which is syrup before they let a lot of the liquid evaporate. I was told by another guy who gets slop at the same place I do. That he had bloat issues on thicker slop that he was getting from another distiller. So I would say that syrup should for sure be rationed correctly.

Don't feed it to bulls that you plan to breed with. The syrup that I used several years ago was thin and we never had problems with bloat, but it did cause the bulls to become sterile for a period of time. I lost my favorite Angus bull for a breeding season because of this. Fortunately, we found out and pulled him and got him tested (and had a young spare bull). He was fine the next Spring and for the next 2 years.
