disc harrow suggestions

I'm in the market for a 12 ft pull type tandem disc? I have an old Taylor Way that has seen better days. The frame is getting thin and has been broken and patched multiple times. I need something heavy and tough for some new ground, but don't want to break the bank. Any suggestions would be appreciated?

Go here and pick a few out that you like, then hold your hand up till you get one. I see good 12 - 14 foot disc all the time at auctions. You can buy a larger dis and cut the axles down, it makes a good heavy duty rig.

Super idea. In my Houston Black Clay, weight is paramount if you expect to get anything done, with a plow or finishing tool like a disc harrow. Getting the weight in the implement, rather than added weights just simplifies the process. Additionally, larger usually have larger discs and I like to get the axle up as high as I can when I really want to stir things up.
