Took the bride on a sale barn date today and true to form we brought home three cows. One bred, two open...as usual we went looking to buy steers.

One will have a date with the freezer, the other could be bred as she came off the truck late and didn't get pregged. Will decide on her tomorrow when they get the green arm.
Hate to admit that I was there when we bought them...still can't say no to that woman.

Hard to guess the history of those cows. The one you eat will work out fine. You know that's a way to make money on cattle.

My husband asked me when we were running around this Saturday if I wanted to go to the salebarn and my reply was "Not only no, but he## no!" I lost the last two animals I got there. I am not up for another round of "tube the calf".
