I have been asked to put together a book of church photos. The feller wants pictures of the outside and the inside of the churches favoring the small country churches. I have several done already.

I also have to have a release form signed by the Pastor of the church in order to use the photos I took. Most all of the folks I've run across have been more than willing to help and gladly open up their historic places of worship to my camera shutter.

Then there are the Pastors here local that wanted to trade for the pictures. In order for them to sign my release, I have to spend sunday with the congregation.
So, 2 weeks ago I went to Cathloic services. Last week I attended services at the Pentacostal Church in town (my what a lively bunch!). This past sunday I absorbed the Lutheran Pastor's sermon. Last night I spent time in the non-demonination church on the edge of the pasture down the road. This comming sunday, I'm off to the local Baptist church for some fellowship and picture taking.

It has been quite an education. Espically since I don't like people. I have issues with being polite and friendly with folk I don't know. But, I'm trying.

Thru all this wealth of knowledge I'm gaining these past few months...I still do not have pictures of my own church!!

As Tourism Coordinator for our County I know what you mean. Good luck in this project. I love to promote the church tours and especially when I get to be a part of them. Let me know what they look like ew are also trying to find and promote all the unusual architecture of them. Love the OLD ones.
