Deere fluid

Have a 1530 that I use Deere hydraulic fluid because in a former job the el cheapo fluid destroyed several hydraulic systems. Deere fluid is $120+ for five gallons. Anyone have success with name brand like Texaco Exxon etc? I used to work for Southern Farmers and our fluid had written guarantee. No one ever filed a claim

I have had good luck with Premium NAPA 85-404.

You can use any aftermarket fluid that meets the manufacturer spec. Look at the data sheet and see if it meets or exceeds Hygard/J20C or whatever your machine requires.

I have used Citgo Transgard before, and now use mostly MFA's hydraulic oil. Champion 4000 is good too. Last I knew these were all $60-80 for 5 gallons.
