A friend told me today that he has a relative in Houston that is a bigwig in one of the larger stores there.He said she told him that evacuees have been coming in and using the debit cards to buy boom boxes,ipods,etc. instead of clothing,food,etc. I also heard on the radio one man that said "$2,000 wasn't enough,he had 8 children to feed and he wanted $10,000.!!! :shock: :shock:

Too bad some of the politicians didn't think about that in the first place! Duh...am I missing something here?

Govt should have limited those cards to food, personal care products, a LIMIT on clothing purchase, and such. No "adult toys", entertainment items, etc. No exchanges for cash or cash back.... However, nothing to stop people from SELLING their card for cash and buying boom boxes, $100 "tennie" shoes, and drugs...such is our society...

darn...why take all the fun out of free money....adult toys? Oh my.. i need me one of those cards... who is willing to sign an affidavid that i have moved in with them cus I was a refugee.......er...I mean evacuee from sin city?

And how is it that one man, and we are speaking of the most reverend Jessie 'the two timing' Jackson here............can get the United States goverment to ammend the word 'hurricane refugee' to 'hurricane evacuee', cus it comes off as racist? huh?

Best to go back to the old fashioned method of aid....food, water , shelter, clothes, medical aid... and a prayer or two... then have a great life...see ya next time .

I cant wait for our next hurricane to come through..I want my card too..............if idont get it. I will sue..........reverse race-ism. :roll: ;-) :cboy:

I'm worried about Medic, sounds to me like some of you are concerned too... It could be a severe head injury, or maybe a bad case of indigestion or maybe his liver is quivering - none the less my money is on either a nasty case of Bullsheetitis or even worse and more deadly "mad cow disease"...Can you say BSE?

Lets keep our fingers crossed that he somehow will pull out of it and return to his old self!
