Ah hem! (thaks LA) Locally, they close and the airport is open till midnight for the last minute junkies.

You're welcome cowgal. I thought that I had seen somewheres that the post offices were open until midnight. Maybe it might be that the mail trucks pick up at the smaller post offices later to get it delivered and posted at the larger ones.

There was a story on the news tonight that the post offices will only be open until 8:30 instead of the usual midnight. They claimed that with electronic submission that the last minute filings have drasticlly reduced over the past few years.
Of course that won;t help the guy that still waits till 1 minute till midnight to mail it.
