dont know if many people actually read the hay bored so i decided to put this here. we had about 2 weeks of beautiful 80 degree weather. alfalfa was growin like crazy and got about 2 feet tall i'd say. then all the beautiful green alfalfa, wheat, oats, grass, trees you name it, came crashing down when we've gotten a week of lows in the 20's. now the alfalfa is dead. its turned whitish and is all curled up and flat. they say that you have to clip it to get it to grow back. but the thing is, there is no way to "clip it". has anybody else gone through this? word is that theres not gonna be an alfalfa crop this year. :( good thing our wheat wasnt jointed and the oats werent very tall otherwise we wouldnt have any of that either. so does anybody else have dead alfalfa due to freezes? if so, what are yall doin bout it?
