At one time few years ago had the Dawes Report that lets Native Americans with any mixture of Native American blood in them be registered on this report. This report was to be used to determine if there would be any compensation to you in the future. The report was closed to any new additions from any one at a given date. I think I have this right. Now my question is with the DNA technology you can prove that you can trace your DNA back and determine the percentage of native blood. I think you were allowed up to 1/8 if you could prove it to be included Dawes Report. Now if I did a DNA and it came back that I was 47% native blood then should the government recognize my claim and open the Dawes report for a person like me. Probable no native blood in me at all.

It is in relation to the tribe your trying to claim. Most require a blood quantum , I'm am familiar with Creek as it is my heritage and Creek only requires proof of ancestry via birth and death certificates.
