We just got done with the State Fair of Texas, in Dallas. Went in Friday, showed saturday, came home sunday.
There were 299 youth entries, and 100 youth exhibitors. And $47,500 dollars where given away in scholarships. Started at 10 a.m. was over at about 8 p.m. It was a really good show, a lot of quality that ran deep in most classes.
We bred and sold the Junior Champion Female (there were about 125 junior females) and she went on to be the overall Grand Champion Female (here is a link to her, still on our website http://www.shopsanddollarranch.com/inv- ... cles.model) . We were really happy for the young lady that bought her, and it looked good for our ranch.
Overall we did pretty good, placed well in most of the classes. It was a really long day, that ended with a kids costume contest, and a lot of fun.
