I still read on here some but don't post much since I haven't been involved with cattle for about a year now-- :cry2: Anyway, talked with a guy today that offers to completely take care of your cattle on his land. He does everything for $1 per head per day. He has insurance that covers the cattle and death loss. I haven't ever done this and haven't really sit down to figure out if it's a good deal or not. I thought I would see if anyone else has done this before and could share some insight.

So if I had 20 cows with him that would be $7300 a yr.

And let's say I can sell 18 calves at 550 lbs. for an avg. of $1.40 cwt. = $13,860

What am I leaving out? Obviously you're not getting rich but with higher numbers you might could do alright. I'm probably missing something but my 2 yr. old is screaming his head off so let me know.

Thanks
