Curly, One of my main herd bulls is a happy boy today. I let him in with a group of cows that were all palpated safe in calf. Haven't seen him this happy in a few months. Of course he did get a mean look on his face when I told him to smile for Beefy.

Everyone is welcome to tear him up, but I like him.

That the one you bought last year? Or was it early this spring?

Had calves off him yet?
 
The look on that bull's face is priceless! Danged if I tell him he wasn't worth much. I like him, too. :)

I doubt his expression has anything to do with Beefy, more likely he's PO'd cause you didn't turn him out with the unbred cows.

It's the one I bought in Feb of this year from a local farm that specializes in angus pluses (brangus x angus). He bred about 1/2 of the brangus cows I have in the group with him, so I will see calves this coming spring.

He looks mean, but he's actually a pretty calm bull. He's just got that look in his eye.
