crp pasture

Hello I've been reading these boards for awhile now but this is my first post. We fenced in some land that came out of crp earlier this fall and the cows have just about eaten all the grass. Will the cows graze more this year if I bushhog it now or should I wait and bushhog it early in the spring? Thanks in advance for the replies.

we had some come out last year and i ran the brush how threw it erlie spring was almost to late as the gast was starting to green and set it back. we had alot come out this year and alread did some a month or so ago after they ate it all off and it looks great its even started to grow a little befor the frost... so from what i know if it was me i would do it the sooner the better
