so if breeding a red angus cow to a hereford bull, is this article stating that a heifer from this cross would not be good for a replacement heifer?

i am a little slow so please bear with me. it's saying there would not be any RA replacements, but it's not saying that the F1s wouldn't be good for replacements for the herd?

Yes, it says you have no RA heifers. If you did retain the F1s, then you would be one of the other types of herds in the listed.

Yes, it is not saying F1s are bad. Rather, they are trying to show how much more productive a F1 cow is for commercial operations.

It is very hard to sell a terminal bull in my area. Could be because most folks don't have a profit target.
